Photos can easily be added to the photo gallery on your website by following the instructions below.
Note that photos can only be added to a category
Adding a new Category
- Log in through the back-end of the website.
- Point your mouse to Components in the tab menu and then select Ignite Gallery
- Select Categories
- Select the New icon (top left of the screen) and enter the necessary details in the form. NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- You are advised to use the event name as the category name.
- You must ensure that any new category is created with the correct parent category or it may not be visible on the front end of the website.
- You must ensure that the category is published.
- All other fields and settings are optional.
- After saving, the new category will appear in the list of categories.
Managing Images in a Category
- Log in through the back-end of the website.
- Point your mouse to Components in the tab menu and then select Ignite Gallery.
- Select Categories. On this page you will find all categories listed.
- Select 'Manage Images' for the category you wish to edit.
- To add images to the category, simply drag and drop images into the box marked, 'drag files here'.
- Once images have preloaded, click the button marked, 'Start Upload'.
- To delete images, click the select box next to the image(s) you wish to delete and then click the 'Delete' button (top left).
