Working with the MP3 Player

The Audio Gallery system needs two things in order to work correctly.  First the MP3 files need to be uploaded to the designated folder on your server.  For each MP3 file, a code then needs to be entered into any content article.  The MP3 player will be visible on the front end of the website, wherever that code is entered.  You may have one MP3 file/ player per article or you may use one article to showcase multiple MP3 files/ players (audio gallery).

Uploading MP3 Files

  • Ensure that the MP3 files to be uploaded have been named correctly.  (a) All lowercase and (b) no spaces in the file name
  • Log in to the backend of your website and navigate to Content/ Media Manager
  • Click on the Folder named 'Audio' or 'Audiosz' (depending on the system installed)
  • Once you are in the correct folder, click on the 'Browse' button to find the MP3 file to be uploaded
  • Select the file from your computer and then click 'Start Upload'
  • Once the upload is completed, you are ready to add MP3 audio to your website

Adding the MP3 File(s) to a Content item

  • Log in through the back-end of the website.
  • Click on Content, then Article Manager.
  • Select the content that you wish to edit or click on 'New' to create a new article and ensure it is published the item to the relevant category
  • Type the code on the following line, where you want the MP3 player(s) to be visible.
  • mp3player
  • Replace the file name "file" with the name of the corresponding MP3 file that was previously uploaded to the server
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: The curly brackets { } and the / must be in exactly the same place in the code, otherwise it will not work
  • For multiple audio tracks within the same article, simply go to a new line and repeat the steps to add the code for the new file name
  • Save the article
  • The MP3 player(s) will appear on the front end within the article, just like the example below
