K2 - Adding Images to Website Content

IMPORTANT NOTE – you need to make sure you have resized your images before adding them to the page.  To do this you willl need appropriate image editing or image resizing software.

  • Ensure that you are logged in the back-end of your website.
  • Click on Components, K2, Items and select the Article from the list.
  • Open the item in which you wish to insert an image.
  • Within the body of the content, place your cursor where you want the image to appear.
  • Click on the Image button under the content.
  • This opens a pop up window.
  • If the image has been previously uploaded to the server, you can find the image from the folders listed.
    - Select the image from the list presented. 
    - This takes you back to the first popup window (Image properties).
  • If you would like to upload a new image, click on the tab labelled ‘Browse’ under Upload files
    - Browse on your computer to where the image is
    - Open the image
    - Send to server
    - This takes you back to the first popup window ( Image properties)
  • Save the content item using the 'Save and Close' button at the top of the page.
  • NOTE - DO NOT USE THE 'BACK' BUTTON ON YOUR BROWSER: You must use the save or the close buttons at the top of the content page or you could end up with database access issues, which could affect future editing or management of your content.
